At Klinik Aura, All-on-X describes a personalised full-arch implant treatment approach.
The “X” represents the number of implants that is clinically appropriate for the individual jaw. Depending on the available bone, anatomy, implant distribution and final prosthetic design, treatment may involve four, six or another suitable number of implants.
The aim is not simply to place the highest or lowest possible number of implants.
The aim is to create:

Not Every Full-Mouth Case Needs the Same Solution
All-on-4
All-on-4 is a fixed full-arch restoration supported by four strategically distributed implants.
It may be appropriate in selected cases when the available bone, implant positions, bite and prosthetic design provide sufficient support.
Four implants should not automatically be considered the correct solution for every upper or lower jaw.
All-on-6
All-on-6 is generally supported by six implants across one jaw.
When the anatomy and available bone allow, six implants may provide a wider implant distribution and additional prosthetic options.
However, six implants should also be selected according to the individual clinical situation rather than offered automatically as a standard package.
All-on-X
All-on-X is a patient-specific planning approach.
Instead of deciding on the implant number before examining the patient, the surgeon evaluates:
- Bone volume and bone density
- Sinus and nerve anatomy
- Jaw shape
- Remaining teeth
- Possible implant positions
- Implant length and diameter
- Implant angulation
- Bite forces
- Bruxism or clenching
- Cantilever length

All-on-X treatment may be considered for patients who:

Not every patient is automatically suitable for fixed full-arch treatment or immediate loading.
Bone structure, oral hygiene, smoking, general health, active infection, bite forces and healing capacity must be evaluated before the final decision is made.
